On a chilly night in March 2023, England U21 thrashed France U21 by a phenomenal score of 4-0 in the FIFA U21 World Cup. The exceptional performances by several young players such as Emile Smith Rowe, Noni Madueke, Conor Ramsey, and Curtis Jones made this game one for the ages.

First-half gameplay
From the very first whistle, it was evident that both teams were determined to win. The first few minutes of the game saw both the teams going back and forth, trying to get a foothold in the game. This was until the 15th minute, when England’s Emile Smith Rowe broke through the French defence and scored a stunning goal.
Following the first goal, England continued to put immense pressure on France’s defence. In the 21st minute, Noni Madueke showcased his brilliant dribbling skills and slotted the ball past the French goalkeeper to make it 2-0 to England. The rest of the first half saw England controlling the game and continuing to threaten France’s defence with their pace and skill.
