Mila Rosenta (choreographer) concluded the third day of her Indonesia talk at Lumpini Theatre. He presented his work “Jalan, Walk, Travel” which was Mila’s attempt to review and rediscover the “Dropadi” work that Milla Art Dance has been working on since 2018.

Deddy PAW showcased his work with the theme of “Apple is full of puzzles”. For him, the apple becomes a symbolic expression that evokes anxiety, mystery and confusion in the context of the dilemmas of human existence. Citra Sasmitra presents the work of the Timur Merah Project, a critical investigation into the migration of ancient texts and manuscripts in the archipelago. Syaiful artist Aulia Garibaldi’s work explores and imagines interactions between organisms at various scales, both micro and macro, through the growth of fungi and the fall of fungal spores.

In addition to the ongoing series of Indonesia Talk 2022 programmes, today Saturday (10/9/2022) the Roatan Bumi exercise will take place, which will be the closing of the G20 Culture Ministers’ meeting.

Ruwatan Bumi is an artistic ritual event that deviates from spiritual traditions and is transformed into a ritual ceremony in a contemporary artistic environment full of reverence and grandeur. More than 200 artists and cultural activists assembled in the creative team participated in this ceremonial ceremony: Melati Suryodarmo (performing artist), Shinta Vipriani (artistic director), Hartati (choreographer), Ida Al Bahra (lecturer), Nyak Inna Rasyuki (musical activist).
